40. Friendly Fires + Matthew Sartain (March 16, 2012)
Saturday, March 17, 2012

Hell-oh, sick people!

It's been one hell of a fucking day. Super emotional and stressed out with school. At first I was too tired and couldn't be bothered to even head to Friendly Fires concert but I knew it would be a time to let loose.

I met Farihin at City Hall and we walked to Marina Bay Sands. I was so worried that I would have trouble getting in via guestlist so I hoped everything would go smoothly. Took a few pictures for an assignment and chilled near Avalon. When me and Farihin saw people going in, we decided to head to the guestlist counter and it was a good thing we got in, weehooo!

Was so excited to see Friendly Fires! We were right in front and the venue was pretty rad but it was kind of small. To tell you the truth, I was more excited to see Matthew, their guitar tech who is also Two Door Cinema Club's guitar tech. Gosh, he was so cute.

Friendly Fires was pretty good. I didn't expect Ed to be that good at dancing. He seriously had an imaginary strip pole in front of him but I ain't complaining. They performed really well, I enjoyed it a lot! And I think Jack and Edd are incredible adorable!

Anyway, highlight of my night is meeting Matt! Called out for him so many times with Farihin when he was on the stage before and after the gig. Then, I went to a corner and when he looked at my direction, I waved at him. By the look of his face, I'm pretty sure he recognized me through Twitter because he replied me once!

Matt: *smiles happily* *shakes hand* Nice to meet you!
Me: How's Singapore?
Matt: I love it!

And then he gave me a gesture to tell me to wait and so I did and afterwards, he gave me Friendly Fires setlist.

Me: Thank you!!!
Matt: You're welcome!

Nyah, so sweet and so cute and all smiles! Wanted a picture with him but he moved away so fast. But he's such a nice and chill guy, nicest crew ever. Can't get over the fact he's so nice! HAHAHA AND THE FACT THAT I REMEMBER EVERY DETAIL OF OUR ENCOUNTER.

Still in awe, sorry, I just think he's the sweetest TDCC crew ever. One of my best nights in March! <3

Enjoy!

See you strangers.
